Pro Rider Cory “Nasty” Nastazio was on top of the world when suddenly it all came to a screeching halt. In April 2004, Cory’s Honda Civic crashed into a tree, placing him in the ICU for two weeks. Cory suffered a hemorrhage on one side of his brain, broken ribs, and a collapsed lung. He listened to the wise words of his step-father, battled back and rallied to a full recovery.

    When he’s not throwing his trademark Superman Seatgrab or a Double Backflip, Nastazio is always busy. From filming a do*****entary called “Nasty’s World,” to appearing on TV shows and posing for magazines, Cory is everywhere. And we’re not talking just within the world of action sports either. Famous for the tattoos, spiky hair, and crazy personality, Nastazio’s popularity has splashed him onto the pages of Maxim, Rolling Stone, and Stuff magazines.

    When it comes time to compete, this bad boy eases his superstitions by slipping a piece of wood in his pocket. Superstitious or not, something clicked at the 2002 Australian X Games and Nastazio scored his first gold medal. He’s been back on the scene and again is ready to compete for another nasty summer.
